Wow! Project Life For a Whole Year

January 3, 2014

Project Life Title Page

I’m so proud of myself that I stayed up on my Project Life album. I learned a lot about the process and I will be doing this again next year. I started it a year ago to keep track of the year leading up to Gunnar’s and my wedding. Well how could I stop then? Not make record of the first year of our marriage?? Yeah thats not happening. Here is a look back at my 2013 Project Life and my decisions.

I started wanting to create a collection of quotes right in each week. I did this because I wanted to practice design and layout. It was a great idea but was really hard for me to keep up with. I think by February I abandoned it, if I had a style I was making all quotes adhere to it would have been more manageable. Maybe I’ll try again in the future and I have been working on collecting quotes on pinterest for this but it just didn’t work out this year.

I wanted to capture the “feel” of each week with a picture of the weather. This didn’t last as long as the quotes did. I either just forgot to take one specifically for the weather or by the time I went to print the pictures I had forgotten why I had taken that picture of the parking lot in the rain.

I wanted to get a self portrait of each week. This I did pretty well on, I look forward to doing it again next year and being more creative with the pictures I take of myself.

Looking back over ALL of the weeks and pictures I took I see a huge improvement in my photography skills. I am so glad I had this year to practice and grow my passion for photography. I am really excited to see how I grow in the next year!

Project Life End PageThis is what I did for the end page in my 2013 album. I recapped all the AMAZING things  we got to do. Looking at this now I see how busy we really were last year but I loved every minute of it!

Love the infographic! Do you have a template you used for it? Would you be willing to share? What font did you use? It looks awesome!

I used Bebas for the font. I don’t have a template for it, I just laid it out in Illustrator and printed it out like I print out my pictures.

Oh my, the end page is perfection. I saw some posters with a collection of events over the year like this. But this is the perfect solution to combine it with Project Life. Thank you for the inspiration 🙂

Hi! I love the Life for a whole year book. But can I ask where did you get the clear pages at that have all the different slots?

Maggie, This was a variety kit for Project Life Line. You can find it here.
