If you remember way back when I posted about my wishlist for last winter. I have been trying to wait for it to stop snowing to officially say winter is over but even as I post this it is snowing outside. I can’t wait any longer though I want to get started on spring for 2013 so here it is.
Go Ice Skating – this didn’t happen we were trying hard to save money for the wedding and house so we chose to hold off till next year for ice skating.
Make a Homemade Gift – I gave one of my friends a ceramic bowl I made and a notebook for her to journal or put pictures in, click here to see how I made the notebook.
Play in the Snow – Yup! Lots of this we went sledding and took out my niece into the snow for the first time. She loved sledding and yelled at us from the window when she had to go back inside. See pictures from that trip here.
Bundle Up and Go on a Nature Walk – Night came too soon and our weekends were full. I hope to do more of these though.
Make a House Fort and Snuggle With Blankets – We didn’t get the fort made but we did lots of snuggling and watching movies under warm blankets
Make Hot Chocolate – after playing in the snow we made hot chocolate for all of us who sledded.
Listen to Holiday Music – I was lucky enough to come into possession of a whole bunch of Christmas vinyls and had a blast listening to them.
Dance – Gunnar and I are practicing for our first dance so watch out!
Take a Drive to Look at the Lights – We did a little bit of this as we drove around town looking at houses for sale.
Bake Cookies – I actually got to make several cookies this year, read about a new kind I tried here.
Dress Up – We had lots of opportunities to dress up and I took advantage of every single one of them.
Have an Inside Picnic – Gunnar surprised me one afternoon with a cookie picnic inside!
Make a Nostalgic Recipe – When I was at home we made Cherry Winks like we used to do at Christmas and I think I ate as much batter as the cookies we baked.
Take Pictures with Christmas Lights – This might have been my favorite activity. Not only did I get cool pictures of the lights we had fun playing with the slow shutter speeds too! You can see the “ghost” popping out from behind the tree!
Did you create a Winter wishlist this year?
