I can’t believe that 2015 is just around the corner, 2014 has flown by and while I sit here reflecting on it I am just as excited to see where 2015 takes us. I am really excited to do a Project Life album for the 3rd year in a row. It has been an incredible experience and I am so thankful for my completed albums. If you haven’t heard of Project Life it is a scrapbooking system that allows you to slip your pictures into pockets and add as little or as much embellishment as you want. I really love that I work on it each week throughout the year and that at the end of the year I have a completed album for my shelf.
In 2015 I will be using the Midnight Edition Core Kit, the Midnight Edition Dividers, and the Midnight Edition Paper Pack. I decided to go with this really fun yellow-orange striped 12 x 12 album this year. I chose a black and white album for 2014 and a sea-foam blue one for 2013 so I didn’t want to stay black and white again this year.
I am not entirely sure how I want to label the dividers this year. Last year I used a date stamp to put the month on the divider. I’m thinking about using some alpha stickers instead. In the past I’ve stuck pretty closely to what comes in the core kit as my only embellishment, in 2014 I experimented with some stickers and stamps. This year I really want to use more embellishments, especially since this year’s colors are really neutral. I’m thinking colored stamp pads and twine as well as washi tape and other embellishments will bring in more colors.
As for the organization of my album in 2015 I will be sticking with the same plan I did this year. Monday – Sunday weeks and posting about it the next Friday. This worked really well this year and allowed me to stay on track better since I didn’t have a second weekend between the week and the blog post. I do have a goal of capturing more pictures of people. I love detail shots, they really help tell the story but I often forget to take pictures of people, I know most people hate getting pictures taken so I quit asking but then I end up with pictures of food and actives but not the people they involved. (So get ready friends and family I’ll be taking more pictures of you in 2015!!)
