My best friend in the whole wide world has asked me to be his wife. It was perfect and magical!
Here is our story… Halloween is my favorite night of the year, it always has been so much fun to dress up as different people and characters. This year I made us a couples costume of Candy Corns. It was a lot of fun and I got to try my hand at dying clothes. So we had planned this fun night of getting dressed up and going out to dinner then driving our truck out to the country to take a walk and stargaze before it got too cold.
However, the weather had different plans for us. Gunnar also had some commitments at work that also changed our plans but he did a great job of being flexible and making it perfect anyway!
We still got dressed up and we still went out and had a wonderful dinner and drinks. Since it was really cold and rainy we decided to go to the mall where they were doing an indoor trick-or-treat. We had a lot of fun taking in the kids costumes while we enjoyed coffee.
After that we went home to watch a scary movie. Gunnar rounded up all the candles we have in the house under the guise of making it more fun for Halloween. And we started the movie. Shortly after the movie started he came over near me and knelt on the floor. He said he had a question for me. He asked me to marry him!
It was wonderful and fun needless to say we did not finish the movie and we spent the next several hours trying to contact close family to share in our excitement.
