Indianapolis Bound

I’ve got some big news with you, we are going to be relocating to Indianapolis! Whew! It feels so good to finally share it! It has been something we have been thinking about and looking into for a while, and then at the beginning of this year Gunnar mentioned casually that he was maybe interested in looking for a job which got the ball rolling. Two weeks ago now he started his new job in Downtown Indianapolis.

Gunnar is currently commuting to and from Indy each day, and we ultimately want to be down there. We have a couple things to figure out first, like what to do with our house and finding a place that I can also work at down there. Know anyone who needs a designer with front-end skills?

When Gunnar first mentioned that he was interested in other opportunities in Indianapolis we weren’t actively looking to switch up our lives this much. It was several days of we aren’t ready/we are ready/I’m not ready/let’s do this thing. Now we are trying to get all the other pieces to fall into place. It is going to be a wonderful adventure, one because neither of us has lived in a large city and we are thinking about trying out a place in the downtown area and two because it means a new chapter in our lives with new experiences. Life has a way of shaking things up and surprising you when you least expect it.

Soon we are going down for a visit to check out different neighborhoods and try to decide where we want try first. Do you have any favorite spots we should check out?

Mikey, thanks for sharing your adventure! Embrace the new experiences as that’s what life’s about. New jobs, new places, new friends….you wouldn’t want it any other way. Enjoy the ride! Share with Gunnar too. You have chosen a great life partner so you aren’t only and let’s just see where life takes you!
