Happy Cinco De Mayo!! It’s that time of the year again! I’m so excited that it has warmed up enough for me to start trying summer cocktails again, in my book nothing is better than sipping a cold refreshing drink on your deck at the end of a warm summer day!
This margarita is perfect, especially if you like sour margaritas. I got a grapefruit in my GreenBean Delivery earlier in the week and knew I needed to try this cocktail out. Fresh juice in your cocktails raise it to a whole other level when you’re mixing your drinks at home. If I had time that day I would have attempted to make fresh sour mix but I needed to drink this up and didn’t have the time but next time I will.
To make the Grapefruit Margarita you need:
1-ounce silver tequila
1/2-ounce triple sec
1-ounce sour mix
2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
Sliced grapefruit for garnish
Salt or Sugar rim
In a cocktail shaker with ice add the first 4 ingredients and shake well. Garnish your glass with either salt or sugar both would be wonderful on this margarita. Pour the margarita over ice and garnish with grapefruit slices. Sit back and enjoy!
