One thing I have been loving about home decor options lately is how bright and bold the colors have become for everyday objects. So when I ran into these paint colors I knew I had to give my wooden spoons a new life with some bright bold colors! This DIY wooden spoon update is the perfect project to do in an afternoon or a weekend.

I picked up these wooden spoons at the grocery store a while ago for a couple of bucks, and I used Martha Stewart Craft paint for the colors. As a note I left my color way up at the end of the spoons so that I won’t have to worry about the paint touching the food, if you are worried about that or want to paint farther down your spoon I would research some food-safe options.

I think all the colors are so fun but I’m particularly excited about the chalkboard one. How fun is it going to be to take it to a carry in and have a spoon that tells everyone what you made!

This is also a really quick project and while you are waiting on the paint to dry you can work on other things that aren’t quite as exciting like laundry, you know if you need to.

They turned out so fun and I can’t wait to use them! If you make your own set or ones for a gift. I would love to see them!
