DIY – Snowflake Garland

December 13, 2012

One easy way to decorate your home is garland. I posted a lighted garland tutorial here but today I have another easy way to decorate. Wonderfully this garland can be left up through January!

Felt in White and Lt. Blue
Shape Stencil
Yarn or Embroidery Thread

First pick the style of snowflake you want to make and print our your stencil. After cutting out the snowflake shape.  Use the Yarn to connect the snowflakes and then you are done. The embroidery thread gives a smaller line through the snowflakes, I chose the yarn because I like the chunkier look to the thread as it runs through the snowflake. While this is easy it just takes a lot of time to cut out the snowflakes. You can see that I abandoned my stencil approach and started free handing snowflakes. Do whatever feels right! Do you make your own garlands?
