Today I am bringing you a new DIY. I am working on decorating and creating an awesome workspace; in this space I needed a cute way to organize my small notes, inspirations, and lists. So I created this painted cork board to hold all of those little pieces of my life.
Supplies
Cork Board Squares
Painters Tape
Ruler
Paint
Foam Brushes
Pencil
I first drew on paper a rough idea of what I wanted the final design to look like. I really dig the chevron and arrow trend that is going around and wanted to incorporate that into this project. Once I had the details of my design nailed down I got out my ruler and pencil and drew the design directly onto the cork board.
Next, I used the painters tape to create crisp lines for the painting.
I then used the foam brushes to paint onto the cork. On the teal color I did a layer of white underneath in order for the teal to show up.
Once they were dry and the painters tape removed I applied Command Strips to the backs and placed them on the wall above my desk. I love the way it turned out and am excited to start using it. Next Project : Customized Push Pins!
