DIY: Fabric Covered Boxes for Storage

Do you ever need to have extra storage? Cute storage? Of course! While I am on my mission to become more organized I  needed more storage options on a very very small budget. So I created this cute fabric covered box.

Supplies
Fabric (enough to cover your box)
Hot Glue
Scissors
Box – shoe box, printer paper boxes, shipping boxes with the flaps cut off

I used a shoe box for my box and some fabric I had bought earlier this year (on clearance!!). I first cut the pieces of fabric to fit over the bottom and the top of the box. At this point I just started gluing the fabric down inside the lip of the box.

The key is to remember to pull evenly and tightly across the fabric as you glue it down. I decided to cover it too look like an envelope but you could cover it without any overlapping fabric. Whatever you like!

Have fun with your new storage boxes. Do you have any other DIY cute storage solutions?
