DIY Candy Corn Vases for Halloween

October 16, 2012

I had these wonderful milk vases which I had thrifted at Goodwill which I just didn’t fit my decor. I’m still working on getting my home style straightened out but thats a story for another day. I didn’t want to get rid of these vases because I did like them so I decided to use them for Halloween decorations. I found this great idea on spray painting wine glasses and decided to use it to upcycle my vases. Here is how I did it, it was very easy and didn’t take very long.

First I gathered up all the supplies and waited till it wasn’t windy outside. I’m not the best with spray paint and I wanted to minimize the amount of paint that got on other things.

I then sprayed a light layer of the yellow 3/4 of the way up the vase. I did a second pass on the lower 1/4 portion with the yellow.

The last and final step was painting the orange on the bottom portion.

This project was really easy and a lot of fun. If you don’t have milk glass bottles you want to paint on you can take any empty glass container and first paint it white all over to start with. These are a great addition to my Halloween Decorations!

I really like the blended way they turned out. Ready for fall, Halloween and a Thanksgiving vase if you need one. Wonderful reuse.
