We are almost to Christmas! 8 more days!! This December has gone so quickly and if you were in the midwest this last week the weather really messed with your holiday mojo by being 60+ degrees most of the week. Now it is starting to get cold again but it has yet to snow in December here and I wish it would so I would have some snow for my December Daily album but we do what we can, right? Right!
This is how I decided to do the cover for my album this year. I wanted a really bold graphic cover and used the chipboard letters to spell out DEC 2015 and I used some of the washi tape from last year’s kit to put up at the top.
I shared this page when I shared my foundation pages but now I’ve got the whole concept finished. I Wanted to take a blurry picture of the tree in the circle to use as a background for the first couple of pages. I’ve not fully decided if I’m going to put the transparency in front of the page with the tree or behind it so I’m still deciding on that. I think it is a little distracting having the text behind the little windows.
This part I’m really excited about! I decided that on the back of my title page where I wasn’t using windows I wanted to take pictures of the details about our Christmas decor and put them in here behind the title page. I think it turned out really great and I’m glad to see at a glance how we decorated for this first year in Indianapolis.
This is that transparency I was talking about earlier. I like it here but when you see it from the front page its a little distracting. What do you think? Leave it or move it behind the tree picture?
I love my instax camera and it is really nostalgic around the holidays to use to help tell our story. Last year I took a picture of our tree with it so I wanted to keep the tradition going and take another picture of our tree this year.
Also the 5th of December was really busy for us so it takes a couple pages to tell it’s story. This day we went to do a majority of our Christmas shopping and we stopped to grab some food. Of course they had a beer flight so I had to participate and I got to say 5 Golden Beers! I love it.
We also went out to the Zoo and checked out the light displays. It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to go to the Zoo in the spring or summer to see more of the animals.
And this is the end of the first week. I’ll be finishing scrapbooking the next week and be back to share it with you but this is a peek at the start of the second week, which was busy to say the least!
