Last year I found out about a scrapbooking project just for the month of December, called December Daily. Which as you can imagine from the name focuses on documenting each day during December. I loved the idea of slowing down and taking time to document one of the busiest months of the year in its own album. But it is a big commitment not just purchasing the kit but committing to documenting every day.
Last year I was finishing up my first Project Life album, and adding in a second album for each day in December seemed a little too ambitious for me then. Now I can’t wait to have a completed album on my shelf from our first year of marriage of our December adventures.
The kit arrived this week and while it is still one week to December first I wanted to get all my supplies and embellishments organized so that documenting each day is a little bit easier. I went ahead and cut out the pattern paper in 3×4 sizes and 4×6 sizes.
I also used a mini cupcake pan to organize the little embellishments so they stay organized and are easy to grab. The actual album hasn’t arrived yet so I can’t get some pages started just yet but that hasn’t stopped me from planning. I’m not sure yet if I want to decorate the cover of the album but I have a pretty wonderful intro page in mind that I can’t wait to get started on.
For my first December Daily album I am almost exclusively using the supplies that came with the kit but I am using a few extra things including: an alphabet stamp set, a date stamp, sequins from Studio Calico’s Color Theory, and some miscellaneous other sequins that I had lying around.
I can’t wait to get started on this project and can’t wait to share my pages with you! This will be my first scrapbook with so many embellishments, I am excited to stretch myself creatively on this project and document the big and little moments of the coming month!
