I love easy decorations. These fall wine bottles were incredibly easy to update into decor for my fall decorations.
You will need several wine bottles, spray paint ( I used Valspar Gold), A clear coat spray paint, and Martha Stewart Chalkboard Craft Paint and a brush.
Make sure you get the label and all the sticky off of your bottle, I used elbow grease and goo gone to help me get it off. I wont be setting any speed records with it but it worked well, then I cleaned the whole bottle with warm soapy water before spray painting it. I painted 2 coats of the gold and one of the clear to give it some protection against handling and hopefully scratches.
After painting it I choose the bottle that looked different than the others to add chalkboard to so I can write messages depending on how i feel.
I debated with painting the whole bottom half with paint but for now I chose to go with a stripe. Two coats of paint later I was ready to condition the paint according to the bottles directions.
And now I have and awesome addition to my fall decor. The gold paint fits right in with my other decor for the season and I even have a little chalkboard for pictures of messages!
