For our second round of recipes from our game Guild Wars two we decided to make salsa. The recipe I used (found at Pioneer Woman) uses lime instead of lemon but it is so delicious!
INGREDIENTS
1 can (28 Ounce) Whole Tomatoes With Juice (we are going to use 1/2 the amount of juice next time)
2 cans (10 Ounce) Rotel (diced Tomatoes And Green Chilies)
1/4 cup Chopped Onion
1 clove Garlic, Minced
1 whole Jalapeño, Quartered And Sliced Thin
1/4 teaspoon Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Ground Cumin
1/2 cup Cilantro (more To Taste!)
1/2 whole Lime Juice
I didn’t read all the directions before I started this recipe. I just kind dove right in and then I found out how much it makes. I had to make small batches in my food processor and then stir it all in a big bowl at the end.
Lots of chopping was done. The Jalapeños were quartered and then sliced thin when food processed you can’t even tell where the Jalapeños are.
Blend, blend, blend! Get it to a consistency that you like and then set it aside while you process more.
Here is my big bowl of salsa. It is so refreshing and a good amount of spice to it. I am not sure how long it stays good because we ate all of it so fast it didn’t have time to sit for long.

That salsa looks AMAZING. I’m starving right now and I just want to gobble it all up. What’s nice is that it’s not chunky.. don’t like giant chunks in my salsa. I bet it’s delicious!!
p.s. I see you two love birds in the background on the 3rd to last pic. ADORABLE.
Congratulations on your wedding 🙂
The salsa is so fresh you have to try it! Once you start eating it, it will be really hard to stop.
