This week we tried a whole different style of soup. We tried a Cheddar Soup. But it was more than that, it had jalepenos and bacon in it!
I just want to take a second to enjoy this beautiful pad of butter melting away!
I saw the recipe on Closet Cooking about a year ago and have been waiting to try it ever since. Gunnar really loves spice and peppers in all things so I thought this would be a huge hit!
Here is a link to the original recipe Ale and Cheddar Soup. The only thing I think I would change is taking an immersion blender prior to adding the bacon to make the veggies smaller. It probably isn’t a problem for people who can cut really tiny but I am not one of those people. And since I am not as big a fan of hot I added minimal spices to the soup and then we individually spiced up our bowls!
