5 Tips for Taming Your Nightstand | happyapple.usMy nightstand is always a hot mess in my room. I love having a space for all the things I need when I’m hanging out in bed like water, the book I’m reading, lotion, a candle, and my light. However, throughout the week things are always creeping in, like my nail tools, necklaces, bracelets, and receipts. I have found these 5 tips really helpful in cutting down the clutter on my night stand throughout the week.

2. Get designated containers that zip or close for nail polish, cotton balls, nail polish remover, ect. so these things can be stored easily in a drawer between use.

3. Look for cute vessels to store your smaller items in. I found these awesome dessert glasses that I use for keeping track of my lip gloss and chapstick. Vintage glassware, tins or bowls work well.

4. Limit yourself to one book on your nightstand at a time. I am notorious for reading several books at once and this can make things really cluttered if I have them all there.

5. Take some time at the end of each day to tidy up the top of the nightstand. Place coins where they go put away your jewelry and put away anything that doesn’t belong there.

I know that when my nightstand is tidy and clean I feel better about the bedroom and find it less distracting to fall asleep.
