This year we have been doing our best to cook meals at home and I want to find 10 new soup recipes that I can integrate into our meal plan for the fall. This will be the first of ten posts about soup recipes.
Our first soup to make was a standard fall favorite of chili. We don’t have a basic go to chili recipe yet so we are still in the discovery phase. We used Budget Savvy Diva’s Easy Crock Pot Chili with a few minor changes. We strained the extra juice off of the tomatoes and substituted a Sam Adams October Fest. The awesome part of this recipe is that it made enough that we were able to freeze plenty to use the next week! The first time we ate it we had 3 people which for us left enough for 2 more servings.
One meal I served it with cornbread and the other a loaf of volcano cheese bread which I picked up during the arts walk. Both were delicious sides, I think I am going to need to find a recipe for the volcano cheese bread.
Enjoy!
